Metals we can supply
Mild / steel - Most of our work we carry out is in this strong material ,we can readily forge and weld it.
Stainless steel - We generally work with 304 and 316 stainless steel and can readily forge and weld it. Perfectly suited for use outside or in the home and doesn’t need painting.
Copper - A very malleable material which we can easily work and weld with, doesn’t need painting and when used outside will create its own patina style finish through weathering.
Brass / bronze - Stronger than copper these materials can be readily worked and welded with and when used outside will create their own patina style finish through weathering.
Aluminium - Light and strong, aluminium can be readily welded and worked with. Can be used for almost anything you like.
Titanium - A highly strong and light metal we can forge and shape.
Finish’s we can provide
Hot dip Galvanising - Recommended for all outside steelwork, galvanising is a process which coats the steel in zinc giving a full cathode corrosion protection and guaranteeing you rust free metalwork for many years to come.
Hot zinc spray - Very much the same as galvanising except that the finish shows the fine detail that can sometimes be lost in the hot dip process.
Painting - Available in any colour you wish to have,we spray paint most of our metalwork to suit your requirements weather you want a basic matt black or a highly decorative patina finish.
Powder coating - A very durable finish which is harder to scratch off compared to paint available in most colours.
Bees wax / oil finish - Recommended for interior metalwork only. Bees waxing / oiling is a traditional finish which has been used by blacksmiths for centuries to protect and enhance forged metals. This finish lets you see the fine detail made by hammer & fire that would normally be glossed over with paint.
Graining - Mainly used for the finishing of stainless steel but can also be applied to other metals from a dull matt finish to a highly polished mirror shine we can do it for you.
